We have a toaster. What we do not have is a house. We're saving for a down payment on our first one, and if you'd like to give something, that's where it goes.
Here's the fun part: we haven't decided where that house should be. Every gift is also a vote. Back a state and you move it up the board.

The race is for fun. Votes are advisory, not binding: the winning state does not guarantee we will live there, and where we actually buy is entirely up to us and depends on jobs, family, timing, interest rates and about forty other things. Gifts go to the house fund either way and are not refundable if your state loses. No lobbying, bribery or recounts will be entertained, though attempts will be enjoyed.
